The Oklahoma Humane Society has launched a $40 million campaign to build a new centralized campus in southwest Oklahoma City.
The “Unleash the Possibilities” campaign has already raised more than $31 million. Plans call for a 53,000-square-foot campus on 14.5 acres at 4001 SW 15th St., with construction expected to begin this fall and an opening planned for spring 2028.
The new campus will bring OK Humane’s major programs together in one location, including adoption, spay and neuter services, animal care and low-cost veterinary services. It will also add on-site housing for dogs while continuing the organization’s foster-based model.
“This is a defining moment for OK Humane and for animal welfare in our state,” CEO Mark Eby said.
Founded in 2007, OK Humane impacts more than 30,000 animals each year and performs more than 20,000 spay and neuter surgeries annually. The organization also places approximately 3,000 animals in adoptive homes each year.
OK Humane is a private nonprofit organization separate from Oklahoma City Animal Welfare, but the organizations work together to transfer animals into rescue and adoption programs.
