There are books and websites, etc., that will give them the stories, but they’re going to see the stories performed. It’s like watching those mystery dramas on television — you saw who did the crime, so you know the good guys are going to find out, but you stick around to see how.

Besides, I’m sure she knows that the goal of the arts industry is to serve the audience. She thinks she’s doing it by transporting the story to the audience. Theater critic Larry Laneer is doing the same thing, while saving us from the rigmarole of sitting through the storytellers’ management/mismanagement.
