And
no wonder! Based on new research conducted by the hotel brand, 36
percent of American adults said the holidays would be less stressful if
their relatives stayed at a hotel instead of with them. When respondents
had kids of their own under age 18, that number jumped to 45 percent.
In other fun findings:
respondents
said they can tolerate relatives for 3.6 days before losing their cool;
24 percent confessed they can play host only for one day or less; 33
percent have lied to avoid having house guests; of that group, 3
percent used the excuse of a broken toilet; and best of all, 4 percent
used the old line, My house is haunted.
