So reminds AAA, North America’s largest motoring organization. “Warning lights are there for a reason: to let us know something is wrong with our car,” said John Nelson, the firm’s national director of auto repair and buying, in a press release. “In some cases, ignoring a warning light can quickly result in catastrophic damage to your car’s engine, so it’s important to know what each light means and what you should do if it comes on while driving.”
Nelson noted that not all the lights indicate disastrous consequences are about to happen, but suggested drivers should pull off the road and consult their vehicle’s owner manual before taking further action. —Gazette staff
