Calderon Festival

The fifth annual Calderón Dance Festival will bring a full day of movement, music and community to downtown Oklahoma City on Saturday, May 16 at Myriad Botanical Gardens.

Presented with leadership support from OK Let’s Dance, the free festival celebrates dance culture through live performances, interactive classes and community-centered experiences open to all ages.

The event honors the legacy of local dance teacher Shannon Calderón and her vision of creating an inclusive and welcoming space where people can connect through movement and the arts. Organizers say the festival continues to attract participants and audiences from across Oklahoma and beyond.

Festivalgoers can expect a full lineup of dance instruction, performances representing a variety of styles and cultural traditions, as well as local vendors and artists throughout the day.

The Calderón Dance Festival runs from 11:40 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 16. Admission is free.
