Reviewer’s grade: D
This movie about a possessive father who takes his daughter on a road trip to visit some college campuses so he can sway her into selecting the one that’s only 40 miles from home is “? not to put too fine a point to it “? insipid. It contains nothing, other than this basic plot, that would appeal to anyone over the age of 12.
It’s strictly a broad farce that plays with the new Disney belief that there is no cinematic crap that kids will not eat if you make it frenetic, loud and led by an actress who’s already known to your audience “? in this case, TV’s Raven-Symon
