A Taco Bell in Edmond is making headlines after police busted a couple of employees for allegedly lighting up a couple of hooters.
According to The Edmond Sun, an anonymous caller who had driven through the drive-through (!) smelled a strong odor of marijuana wafting out from inside the restaurant.
(Dude, did you hear something beep? Oh, wow, it’s the drive-through.)
This call necessitated a visit from Edmond police officer Joseph Stoy, who went inside the business, the Sun reported.
Upon entering, Stoy smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana, and saw two cigarettes of such resting on a table, according to the story.
(Oh, man, don’t bogart that!)
Upon speaking with the two employees there, Stoy said he “smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from their clothing and breath,” the Sun reported. Both sported bloodshot, watery eyes and were behaving sluggishly, according to the story.
Well, then the two cigarettes were field-tested (how?) and came up positive for ganja, according to the story.
Per the Sun, police arrested Joshua Paul Wayne Mackey, 30, of Dover, and Mark Timothy Lowry, 32, of Edmond, on marijuana possession complaints.
We at Chicken-Fried News remember when that same Taco Bell on W. Edmond Road reportedly was the subject of a police raid back in 2006, when it was busted by cops for having a party where cocaine, marijuana, beer and liquor were seized. Arriba! – Gazette staff
