What’s this about a children’s museum?

In response to a recent Oklahoma Gazette commentary
by Tracey Zeeck (“OKC needs a children’s museum,” March 28), I have to
remind Oklahoma City that we already have a children’s museum: Science
Museum Oklahoma.

To pretend OKC doesn’t have a children’s museum and then demand another one for the downtown area is ridiculous.

Zeeck
implies that OKC does not have a museum where kids can roam around
freely and learn. Has she ever stepped inside Science Museum Oklahoma? A
gigantic tree house with seesaws and slides are one of the many play
areas in that museum, and I’m very confident that section isn’t for
adults.

I agree with
saving Stage Center, but I would rather have something more creative in
the downtown area rather than a repeat of what OKC already offers.
